TransImpact, a supply chain technology and services company, announces the acquisition of Avercast LLC, a provider of inventory forecasting, demand planning and inventory optimization software. Avercast enables global customers to predict and plan the right products, in the right place, at the right time, at the right price. The acquisition adds seven software products to TransImpact’s current technology solutions, deepening the company’s technology offering into the supply and demand planning stages of the supply chain process.
“Today’s extremely volatile market creates an even greater imperative for customers to be more accurate in their demand forecasting and inventory planning. Avercast has over 250 forecasting algorithms that allow customers to produce expert-level forecasts up to 60 months into the future,” said Berkley Stafford, CEO of TransImpact. “This level of forecasting helps customers optimize inventory to improve sales and turn their supply chain into a competitive advantage.”
With this acquisition, TransImpact is also expanding its footprint to add an international presence in six countries to support its global customers.
“Combining Avercast’s forecasting technology with TransImpact’s analytics technology gives customers the ability to plan and forecast with an even greater degree of rigor to improve margin.” according to Joe Vocaire, Chief Product Officer of TransImpact.
“We are excited about the new ways we will be able to help our customers now that we are part of TransImpact.” said Avercast co-founder and CEO Jason Averill. Joining forces with TransImpact allows us to do just that.
