Home-based business software company acquires JobProgress

Leap, a provider of sales enablement software for home-based entrepreneurs, announced on March 10 that it had acquired Middlesex-based JobProgress, a workflow and CRM product for home-based entrepreneurs. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The agreement will allow the companies to serve more than 2,400 construction contractors in North America.

JobProgress offers CRM, project management, scheduling and employee management tools for outdoor and indoor residential contractors. With the acquisition, these clients will now have access to more tools to help them manage, estimate, record and close deals on a single platform, without having to rely on multiple technology vendors.

“Leap already enables construction contractors to provide real-time offers to on-site customers. With the addition of JobProgress, the Leap platform will deliver even more robust workflow offerings, which we know will be a game-changer for our end customers,” said Patrick Fingles, CEO of Leap, based in Columbia, Md., in a statement.

JobProgress is Leap’s first acquisition since private equity firm Nexa Equity invested in the company last year. Nexa Equity remains the majority investor in the combined company, and the founders of Leap and JobProgress will continue to be significant shareholders, the statement said.
