Global AV Software Company ADASTEC Sets US Headquarters in Ann Arbor

ANN ARBOUR, Mich.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ADASTEC has chosen to locate its US headquarters at the SPARK Central Innovation Center as the company seeks a permanent location in the region. ADASTEC chose Ann Arbor because of the incredible amount of mobility innovation happening here and the support for future growth available in its robust technology ecosystem.

“Having a permanent headquarters here in the Ann Arbor area is an advantage for ADASTEC because of its proximity to UM and MSU,” explained Ann Arbor SPARK Mobility Programs Manager Komal Doshi. “The company’s future growth depends on access to business development opportunities and finding talent, so there’s no better place than Ann Arbor for it to develop its roots. What is particularly exciting for our ecosystem here is that ADASTEC is joining a growing list of foreign companies that recognize the strengths of this region and want to be part of it.

ADASTEC CEO Dr. Ali Peker added, “We believe Michigan is one of the best places for mobility and the automotive industry. There are excellent opportunities in Michigan as economic development corporations, associations, and chambers. The Michiganders welcome us warmly at all times and have always supported us without any expectation. We are happy to be in Ann Arbor and to take our place at the heart of automotive industry innovation.

Their work will also integrate multiple new and existing sensors designed to improve the safety and overall capabilities of the autonomous bus in all environments.

ADASTEC also plans to take advantage of testing and validation opportunities through the American Center for Mobility in Ypsilanti, Michigan and capture system performance under different scenarios. Ann Arbor SPARK, Detroit Regional Partnership and ADASTEC are actively seeking additional partnerships to help expand the company’s operations in the region.
