Endeavour’s On Location buys ticketing software company Qcue – The Hollywood Reporter

Endeavor continues to acquire new businesses in an effort to strengthen its core strategic areas, particularly sports and live events.

The latest deal will see On Location, Endeavour’s experiential events company, acquire Qcue, a company that develops software for dynamic ticket pricing across sports, events and entertainment.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Qcue’s technology will be incorporated into On Location’s suite of offerings. Qcue’s customers include Major League Baseball teams, university athletic departments and Australian Soccer League teams.

Endeavor went public this spring, and at the time, company president Mark Shapiro said The Hollywood Reporter that the company was operating in “growth mode”, particularly when it came to live events, which the company made a top strategic priority. Although the company plans to significantly reduce its debt in the coming years (it has reduced its debt by $600 million since its IPO), Shapiro also said that it will “continue to be thoughtful but also aggressive” in matters of acquisitions.

In particular, Shapiro said the company is considering “tuck-in” acquisitions, which can be integrated into one of Endeavor’s existing businesses. Qcue seems to fit that bill, with its software and technology integrated into On Location’s existing offerings.

Endeavour, which also owns WME, IMG and UFC, posted a profit in the first quarter of 2021, led by the MMA outfit. As the company announces its results, On Location has announced an agreement with the International Olympic Committee to be the exclusive hospitality provider for the 2024, 2026 and 2028 Olympic Games.
