Vimeo becomes first video software company to partner with TikTok

SaaS video company Vimeo has joined TikTok Marketing Partners, a group of specialty companies that create, implement and measure advertising campaigns on TikTok’s video social media app.

The partnership allows small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) to access Vimeo’s suite of video creation tools while simultaneously allowing them to take advantage of TikTok’s large user base.

Preliminary testing of both companies’ capabilities allowed participants to double the number of videos they create and achieve click-through rates up to 50% higher than previous campaigns on other platforms.

Melissa Yang, Head of Ecosystem Partnerships, TikTok, said, “As small businesses recover and rebuild themselves after a difficult year, TikTok is working on ways to make it easier to access their community and grow their business. Our partnership with Vimeo provides small businesses with simple, effective video tools that rival those available to the world’s biggest brands, and they’re delivering real results.

Additionally, Vimeo became the first Marketing Partner to be listed in TikTok’s new Creative Tools subcategory, designed for those who help brands produce creative assets that leverage TikTok best practices.

Ahead of launch, Vimeo and TikTok invited small businesses to try Vimeo Create, an advanced AI-powered video production tool, and advertise on TikTok for the first time. Over 85% of participants reported successful campaign results and plan to run additional TikTok campaigns.

For example, NaturalAnnie Essentials, a Connecticut-based soy candle company, saw its conversion rate increase 5.5 times in the first two weeks of its trial campaign compared to other forms of advertising. in line.

Annya White-Brown, CEO of NaturalAnnie Essentials, said, “We’ve saved thousands of dollars, the stress of sending candles to a production studio, and a lot of headaches by using Vimeo for our TikTok ads.”

After launch, Vimeo and TikTok announced plans to find other ways to join forces to help small businesses succeed through video.
