FLEETCOR acquires airline software company Levarti

FLEETCOR, the global corporate payments company, has acquired Levarti, the airline software company.

Levarti offers a suite of solutions to automate passenger disruptions, including passenger notifications, new flight bookings, hotel accommodations, transfers and vouchers.

Levarti’s MAX software suite was deployed in 2014 and several global airlines have adopted it to digitize their airport operations and communications.

MAX mobile apps provide passengers with end-to-end digital experiences from check-in, in-flight with contactless payments, and right through to baggage claim.

“This acquisition provides us with a complementary solution to further automate and streamline passenger disruption events for our airline customers. We anticipate that our combined offering will be of great interest to airlines and lead to accelerated sales in our airline accommodations segment,” said Ron Clarke, President and CEO of FLEETCOR Technologies.

Keagan Russo, president of Fuelman and North America Local Fleet at FLEETCOR, recently told PYMNTS about the complexity surrounding companies adding electric vehicles.

PYMNTS wrote that some of the issues are range anxiety, reimbursing employees who charge company vehicles from home, measuring durability, and reporting different performance metrics than vehicles. gasoline.

Russo said these issues are among the issues fleet managers need to address.

“The problem with the Fuelman solution is that we’re charging station independent,” Russo said. “We have a relationship with Mastercard, and we’re able to leverage that universal acceptance network with each of the relevant top-up providers.”

The problem with range anxiety is that the charging infrastructure isn’t as big as it is for fuel. This means fleet managers need to make sure drivers can get where they need to go and not get stranded.

The Fuelman EV solution, the report says, can be used at any charging network where Mastercard is taken.

When it comes to employee reimbursement, Fuelman has partnered with Motorq, a connected car data and analytics company, to create an at-home reimbursement engine.

Motorq can capture charging data directly from electric vehicles.
