Chennai-based software firm Kissflow donates BMW cars to five employees
In a world full of people leaving companies for better opportunities, loyalty is rare and should be amply rewarded.
A CEO of a Chennai-based software-as-a-service company Kissflow Inc thinks so as well as he gifted five of his employees BMW cars worth over Rs 1 crore each for their loyalty to the company.
The handover ceremony was kept secret as some of the five car recipients were told hours before the event that they were going to be the proud owners of an expensive luxury brand.
CEO Suresh Sambandam told PTI that the five employees have been with the company since its inception and have helped the company “dig for gold” during the pandemic. He further said that some of the employees came from modest backgrounds and faced significant challenges before joining the company.
The company faced many hurdles as it tried to navigate a difficult business environment. Some investors have even raised doubts about the company’s proper functioning at the time of the pandemic.
“There were tough times. Even during the pandemic, investors weren’t sure that this company would support and build a future. Today we are very happy to have reimbursed investors and now it has become a 100% private company,” he said.
The car handover ceremony took place on Friday and many were confused as to what it was all about. With great fanfare, the five BMW 530d cars arrived one by one and were lined up parallel with the respective families of the five members.
The CEO of the company mentioned that this should be an inspiration for all other employees to work harder.
